To learn the real name of our Savior, go look at the Hebrew letters for the spelling of “Joshua”:yod-hay-uau-shin-ayin (It isn’t rocket surgery you know). Both had the Hebrew name: YAHUSHA (spelled twice in the TaNaK as YAHUSHUA). The Greek alphabet cannot transliterate this word, and “Latinizing” the Greek form only makes it freakier. The Name of our Savior contains the Name of our Creator, because He is our Creator, and His Name is His identification (His identity is wrapped-up in His Name.
YAH = “I am” . . . so, Yahusha (or Yahushua) literally means “I am your salvation” as well as “Yah is our salvation”. He is the everlasting Father, and El Shaddai (Is. 6:9, Rev. 1).
The Savior is in fact the Being thatrevealed His Name as Yahu(vv)ah — there’s no argument there in the least (He is the “Alef and the Tau”). We use the spellingYahusha or Yahushua because it states the Name and function or role the messenger Gabri’el provided. “Yeshua” Or “Yahushua”? “Joshua” isn’t quite right; and “Yeshua” is still pretty far off, because Gabriel’s explanation of the Name at Luke 1:21 describes the function (salvation) along with Who is providing that salvation.
You will soon learn that the form “JESUS” is derived directly from “YESHU“, explained below. What “YESHU” means will change your thinking about this radically. In the Talmud, unbelieving Yahudim hatefully recorded the Name of the Mashiach of Yisrael as “YESHU”, often seen spelled today as “Jeschu”.

This “Yeshu” acronym is the real root of the form “JESUS”, after going through Greek, then Latin:

The letter combination “OU” is a diphthong, arising from the Greek attempt to transliterate the sound “OO” as in “woof”. Our letter “U” and the Hebrew letter “WAW” does this easily. JESU is used also.
YESOUSIESOU took on an ending “S” to form IESOUS, since the Greek wanted to render the word masculine with the ending “S”. Going to Latin, the diphthong “OU” became “U”.
JESUSIn the early 1530’s, the letter “J” developed, causing a tail on proper names beginning with the letter ” i “, and words used at the beginning of sentences. This “J” is really the letter “IOTA”. Many European languages pronounce “J” as the letter ” i “, or a “Y” sound. They even spell Yugoslavia this way: “Jugoslavia”.

If it were to exist in Hebrew, it would be spelled like this:
YOD-HAY-UAU-HAY-SHIN-UAU-AYIN, or
YOD-HAY-UAU-HAY-SHIN-AYIN
There is no letter “W” in the Hebrew, since the letter “double-U” came into existence in western Europe during the 13th century, and even then only in certain areas; Sweden just added the letter “W” to their alphabet in 2007, even though the rest of the world has been spelling their country with the letter for centuries. The words they use this letter in are borrowed from other languages. The Hebrew letter commonly seen as “waw” is more accurately expressed as a “UAU”, since it conveys the sound of “U”, and sometimes “O”. When the letter “hay” is followed by a “uau”, the sound is to be “OO”, as we hear in “hallelu Yah”. That “u” sound you hear in “hallelu Yah” is the letter “uau”.
Certainly, Yahuahis our salvation, our only Savior, for He Himself took on the form of human flesh, offering that flesh as atonement for all the sins of mankind, once for all. Yahushua revealed the Father to us, and His chasid (lovingkindness) that endures forever.

When I began researching the tetragrammaton, all the resources pointed to the Jewish Encyclopedia as their credibility.
This also is the source for their comments regarding the statements like “the actual pronunciation has been lost” . . . . and othercomments about how it should NEVER be uttered aloud. Then, the Jewish Encyclopedia declares that “YAHWEH” is perhaps theclosest rendering that can be made, given what we know now.
But, as I went to the Hebrew alef-beth to learn how to make the letter sounds for different words, I discovered that the letter that isCALLED “waw” by name is really more like our letter “U”.
The thing is, the Hebrew alef-beth has no letter “W” (double-U) – the letter “W” is less than 400 years old itself. This made me ponderwhy they would divert the four letters (which Yosephus declares are VOWELS), so as to be impossible to pronounce by inserting a letterthat never existed, nor does it exist now, in the Hebrew. There’s simply no letter “W”.
So, I asked myself why might this be. AH! They don’t want anyone pronouncing the true Name! And, the authors of the articles in the Jewish Encyclopedias are JEWISH ORTHODOX RABBIS, who revere the TALMUD, which prescribes the death-penalty for uttering the Name aloud.
Then, it was simply a matter of looking at all the situations where the letter we call “waw” is used in other Hebrew words. We see the “waw” in the phrase “hallelu Yah”, where the “u” is this letter.
Also, in the spelling of the tribe known as “Yahudah”, the same letter is giving us that “u” sound. The letters are symbols for SOUNDS.
The secret is simple: “YAHUDAH” is spelled YOD–HAY–UAU–DALETH–HAY.
Notice the four letters in this five-lettered word. It’s as simple as saying “YAHUDAH”, without the sound of the letter “D”: YAHUAH.
With no letter “W”, it’s amazing these “scholars” managed to pull this fraud on so many people for so long, eh?
Further study of the original letters: palaeo-Hebrew, Babylonian-Hebrew, and Greek transliteration:
The question was posed, “Can we transliterate Messiah’s Name (Yahshua) back into the Greek?”
The answer to this question is, not accurately; but let’s investigate why that is. Going through the motions will help us appreciate the difficulty getting alphabets to interface with one another, and perhaps help emphasize the importance of putting our trust in the original autographs, not the transitional language of Greek. Mashiach Yahushua was not given a Greek name, but a well-recognized Hebrew Name, yod-hay-uau-shin-ayin, and spelled yod-shin-uau-ayin in it’s shortened form. One has to understand the distinction between transliteration and translation.
I think it’s a good idea for us all to take a little time looking at the results of the “reverse transliteration” process, to help us get closer to some names and words; however the “flaw” is thinking we can reach through foreign alphabets which have intermediate distortions of letters, and grammar rules which have no application to the original language. But, for the fun of it, it’s not a bad idea at all.
The following are Greek letters, written as words, but basically equivalent to the Latin letters,IASOUA:IASOUA:
IOTA, ALPHA, SIGMA, OMIKRON, UPSILON, ALPHA
This word, “IASOUA” is the best one can do to transliterate the Name “YAHSHUA” into the Greek alphabet.
The lack of a letter “Y” means they have to use their letter IOTA, and they have no “SH” sound at all, so the
letter SIGMA has to do. To make the matter even worse, they tried to make the word “masculine”, according to
the Greek grammer rules, so this adds an ending letter “S”. They should have wound up with this:IASOUAS But, they wrote the Messiah’s Name as IESOUS. Notice the letter “E” instead of “A”. They were eliminating the “YAH” sound, andretaining the sound of their female healing deity, IESO.
I wanted to take the word “DUDE” and transliterate it into Hebrew. Oddly enough, taking this word to the Hebrew alphabet simply involves 3 letters: dalet-uau-dalet — which spells the name of the famous king of Israel known as “DAVID”. In Hebrew, we have been led to believe this word is the name “DAVID”, or even “DAWID”. Actually, either of these transliterations could be slightly off, or different from the original word meaning “beloved” in Hebrew. It may be that the sound of the Hebrew letters, dalet-uau-dalet, is in fact, “DUDE”, or “DA’UD“. It is very closely associated, it seems, with the Hebrew word for “breast”, “DAD” (with a short sounding letter “A”). There are plenty of Arabian folks running around, probably Ishmaelites (Hagar’s descendants), and even some Edomites (Esau’s descendants, Edomim), who are called by Hebrew names; one you may see often is “YUSEF”, or YOSEF. Another name that is popular with these Arabs is DA’UD. So, perhaps my theory that the Hebrew letter we call “waw” (uau) is far from being anything like our modern letter “W”, and is more like our familiar letter “U”. “W” is called “double-U”; so maybe we need to think of the “waw” as a single “U”, since it seems to sound like one in so many Hebrew words.
The letter “W” is recent, only coming into existence in the 1300’s; so the actual letter in the Hebrew is closer to being what we know as the letter “U”. The phrase “HALLELU YAH” uses this same Hebrew letter called “waw” to give the “U” sound. The name of the tribe “YAHUDAH” gives us the same result (yod-hay-uau-dalet-hay) — and this is the same spelling, and order, for the Creator’s personal Name, with the addition of the letter dalet. Perhaps instead of calling it a “waw”, we need to call it a “UAU”.
If we go to the Greek language, and attempt to spell YAHSHUA, the first thing we notice is that we cannot do it for the lack of two letter/sounds: the Y and the SH. But, if we had to come as close as we possibly could, it would still wind up like trying to play a symphony on a 4-string banjo. It would have to begin with the Greek letter IOTA, then to simulate the vowel sound in “YAH” the second Greek letter would have to be an ALPHA. Clement of Alexandria spelled YAHUAH (yod-hay-waw-hay) with the Greek letters IAOUE.
So, we have the first letters in the Greek being IA. The next step is to make the only choice left to us for the “SH” sound: SIGMA. Finally, I would choose the final letters as UPSILON and ALPHA. Perhaps the upsilon alone would not be enough, but to make the sound of the Hebrew waw (oo as in “food”), we would need to link it with the omikron to make a “dipthong”, OU, then add the ending sound A (alpha). It would be best to simply ignore the Greek rule to make the word masculine (this would add an ending “S”).
Now we have the Greek letters IOTA, ALPHA, SIGMA, OMIKRON, UPSILON, ALPHA. The only aberrations this leaves is the first letter IOTA, and the SIGMA. This only makes the best attempt to sound the SHORT form of Mashiach’s full-blown Name (YAHUSHUA), shortening it to YAHSHUA (or the popularized Y’shua). The best the Greek can do is make it sound something like “IASUA” (if we transliterate the Greek into Latin letters, like the ones we use in English, which is frighteningly close to IESU, based on YESHU described above.
Writing is perhaps the most important human invention; but it’s objective is to record/document the sounds of letters. Where we lose information and accuracy is where alphabets interface with one another. The Greek language is nothing short of a meat grinder to certain letter sounds. So, we each should study enough to answer the question, “Can we transliterate Messiah’s Name (Yahshua) back into the Greek?” The more I’ve looked into it, the answer is no; it’s just a matter of how much mutilation a person is willing to accept — toward the Name above all names. Scholars, etymology experts, and theologians will not disagree with you about other Hebrew names’ true transliterations. “James” is really “Ya’aqob”, “John” is really “Yahuchanon”, and “Isaiah” is really “Yesha Yahu”. But, when you want to use the correct Name for the Mashiach of Israel, they may get red-faced and defensive of their “Jesus” derived from YESHU. Could there be a spiritual stronghold involved in the use of the word “Jesus”? If you know it to be a lie, then stop calling your Mashiach this false name. Call Him by His real Name, the Name above all names: YAHUSHUA. It’s the same spelling in Hebrew (YOD-HAY-WAW-SHIN-AYIN) used for the successor of Mosheh whom they call “Joshua”, as anyone can see even the Greek letters match for both at Acts 7 and Hebrews 4.
Most all seminary-trained folks arestill cruising down the road explaining things in terms of what they refer to as the“New Testament Language”(Greek). Hebrews 4 and Acts 7 contain the evidence of this. Our Mashiach was named Yahushua, and the Israelite leader that brought the children of Israel into the Land was also named Yahushua.
Both mens’ names are rendered as IESOUS in the Greek, so all we have to do is look up the real Hebrew spelling for the man translators have called “Joshua”, and we’ve found the precious treasure we’ve been seeking. We don’t need to investigate the fine points of HETA and EPSILON – these things are rendered irrelevant. Yahushua’s Name is Hebrew, so that’s where we need to look.It means Yah – is our – salvation. IESOUShas no meaning in Hebrew, unless “horse” is part of the meaning (SOOS, the Hebrew word for “horse”).“SUS” is Latin for PIG. Zus/Zeus may have some meaning to the Greeks, but not to Israel.

At Ezra 2:2, the name Y’shua appears among a list of many other names. There is no
indication that the Mashiach or His Name is associated with that specific spelling, yod-shin-uau-ayin.
Another name used in Scripture is “Shua”. Again, there’s nothing to become agitated over with that either.The name Y’shua and Shua both share the common root, yasha, meaning rescue, save, or help.
The definition of “SHUA”, #7770, is given as “a cry for HELP” (rescue, save, deliver); and this is from a ROOT, the word YASHA, spelled yod-shin-ayin #3467. So, upon closer scrutiny it is simple to understand when the connection to the root is properly applied to it. Often a primary root is overlooked, but in this case the root YASHA gives the component “SHA” its meaning, to save. “SHA” is a component in the Name YAHUSHUA (found 2 times), and YAHUSHA (found 216 times).
The Greek language serves to confirm one clear thing about the true Name of our Mashiach: Acts 7 and Hebrews 4 both point to the fact that the Name is spelled yod-hay-uau-shin-ayin. This is simply because both “JESUS” and “JOSHUA” have the underlying letters, IESOUS. The Talmud would like us to believe that His Name is spelled JESCHU, based on YESHU, the acronym for yemach shmo u’zikro, “may his name be blotted out”.
The debate on how to pronounce the Greek letters H (heta) or E (epsilon) should not even be on the table. The Name is not Greek, nor is it able to be transliterated using the Greek language. All scholars realize this is a fact. Greek is unable to convey the sounds necessary for the Name, so to consider it as a viable source, or even as a reasonable transitional language, is a huge mistake to make.

Just like any message from YHWH, just like the Bible itself, the message of this discovery is both simple and profound. The true message of the Ark of the Covenant can be stated as simply as “a testimony to all the world against the disregard of His commandments and against the idolatrous worship of a counterfeit Sabbath”, or in other words, “We must still keep the Ten Commandments today, and the fourth, the Sabbath, is still Friday sundown until Saturday sundown, but NOT Sunday.” All the deeper studies on the Ark, like those at ArkFiles.net and the videos on this website still all conclude in this one message – That we must keep the Ten Commandments as they are written on the Tables of Stone and NOT keep Sunday as the governments of the world will try to dictate under the Sunday Law.

Audio recording of Ron Wyatt just before his death from cancer in August of 1999 regarding his claim/experience in the Ark of the Covenant and the Chamber it was in. Ron says that he was told by an angel in the Chamber that the information would be made known to the world after the Sunday Law was passed. Ron says that he changed it to The Mark of The Beast.
At 17 minutes Ron talks about what he was told about the 2 tables of stone, the 10 Commandments. He was told that when the Sunday Law is passed is when this information would be released.

Ron Wyatt returned to the cave 3 more times, and since his first visit, to his absolute surprise, the cave had been completely tidied up. Four angels stood before him and he was told that the time is not yet for the world to see this discovery with their own eyes, but the time is coming when the inhabitants of the world will have a universal, religious Sunday law enforced upon them. This law will force man to break YHWH’s law, by penalty of disenfranchisement – being unable to buy or sell, (Rev. 13:17). Ron Wyatt was told that some time after this law has been passed, YHWH will allow the tables of stone (The 10 Commandments) and a good clear video of the Ark of the Covenant to be put on public display. This is the very same law that Ron Wyatt referred to in the last interview he ever gave. The full interview is available here. The interviewer asks Ron, “…you took the tables of stone out, and then the angel told you something about the tables of stone?” And Ron Wyatt answers, “Yeah, he told me that it had to do with when these were to be shown to the world… when the mark of the beast law was in force, that shortly after that, was when this would take place… it wasn’t stated as the mark of the beast law, it was stated, “when the Sunday law…”. The interviewer wanting to make absolutely sure that the angel himself said the words “Sunday Law” then confirms with Ron, “But the angel said “Sunday law”?” And Ron Wyatt confirms, “That’s right.”

2.TRACING CHINA’S HISTORY BACK TO NOAH By Parnell McCarter
The internet has opened up many opportunities for studying China’s history, and even tracing it back to Noah. This article explores some of the excellent information and resources now available.
To begin, it is necessary to understand Chinese naming conventions. In Chinese, a name is made up of a family name (surname), which is written first, and then the personal name. Family names are usually of one character each, although there are exceptions like Ouyong and Situ. There are over 6,000 Chinese surnames for about 1 billion people. Chinese who have the same surname have much more loyalty to someone else who has the same surname than Americans with the same surname have.
In mainland China the top five family names are Chen, Li, Zhang, He, and Huang. The Li surname has a long history which goes back to a specific person named Emperor Zhuanzu who was the first Li and lived before 2000 B.C. This is according to the Xing Zuan, the Chinese dictionary of surnames. The Li family has a long history in China with many stories. During the Tang Dynasty about 15 different surnames were given the honor of having the Li surname. Li Yuan was the founder of the Tang Dynasty which lasted from 618 to 906 A.D. His son who ruled after him was Li Shimin. In their dynasty, printing and paper money were introduced to China.

The Yellow Emperor is the progenitor of the Han-Chinese race. He is not one of two, he is “the” progenitor. It is the Chou clan people, according to history, and the Chi family (includes the Chow) that have influenced and directed the “rivers (rivers of mankind in what is called China, today)” so as to direct Ham’s (Han) ancient civilization, out from under Put and out from under Magog. It is the Chou and the Chi that have done this and have shaped (re-shaped) China’s entire civilization!
Hou Chi, family and friends, were only factors in shaping China’s entire civilization. Please re-read my site as you will find new meaning, now, with my explanation. Huang Di may not have been the smartest, nor wisest, being a descendant of Ham in Nimrod’s camp. It is the Chou and Chi that really shaped China as my work brings this out.

“Early Chinese history is derived from archaeological evidence and (with due caution) later legend. More systematic history begins with the Shang and particularly the Zhou dynasties. This early political period, vital in Chinese cultural development, ends in 221 B.C.E. with the establishment of a more powerful state.” [1]
“Chinese emperors had many names – a family name, reign titles, and a temple name as well as a multitude of honorary titles. The first Ming emperor, for example, was born Zhu Yuanzhang (Zhu was his family name). When he declared himself emperor he took the reign title Hongwu (‘Vast Military Power’) and was known after his death by his temple name, Taizu (‘Surpreme Progenitor’). Strictly speaking the reign title refers to a number of years and the correct usage is therefore ‘emperor of the Hongwu period’. Ming and Qing emperors kept one reign title throughout their reign but many earlier emperors changed them to mark an auspicious event or the start of a new era and years were then dated from the start of such reign eras rather than from the emperor’s date of accession.” [2]
“The exact regulations governing the ranks of women in the imperial household varied. A girl entered the palace as a concubine; if she became an imperial favourite, she was promoted to consort; if the emperor married her, she became empress. From this time on, the structure of Chinese society became increasingly feudalized, as local provinces became increasingly autonomous. Formal recognition of the Chou Emperors was retained, but real power fell more and more into the hands of petty Kingdoms within China.
By this point the Chou monarchy had lost all control over provincial dynasties, and the remaining Chou era is known as the “Warring States” period, as various local states contended for the Mandate of Heaven.

Origin of the Jew surname When we, Chinese, came to America, our family surname was Romanized in many different ways. In mainland China, because people use Chinese characters in writing, our family name is always the same. Indigenous Han-Chinese people use only one character as their surname, for example surnames like Chow, Chang, Ching, Lum, Wong, and Sung are composed of only one Chinese character. The correct and generally used Romanization is Chow in Cantonese and Zhou in Pinyin. Variations have been created in the West, sometimes, to signify a certain lineage or family legacy. For example, the main lineage of the Chou Dynasty (going back to the following dynasties: Chou Dynasty 1122-256 BC, Northern Chou Dynasty 557-581 AD, Later Chou Dynasty 951-960 AD, and Modern Chou Dynasty 1644-2003 AD), a dynasty family comprised of over 20 Chinese family surnames, goes by the surname of Chow. A secondary lineage, from the Northern Chou Dynasty, uses Jue as their surname, after their founding branch ancestor.
The proper Romanization of our family name, today, is Chow in Cantonese and Zhou in Mandarin (Pinyin). We use the Romanization of Chou (Zhou in Pinyin) to signify our dynasty in accord with Chinese custom. The name Chow (Chow, Zhou, or Chou), pronounced as Jo in the Middle East and China, comes from our family’s early Hebrew or Shemite origin in the Fertile Crescent (3896-1900 BC).
We are not Jews. The Chow clan is an early Hebrew tribe (about 200 years prior to the time of Abram), also called Shemites, descendants of Eber, who resided in Hassuna in Iraq as their village. Every tribe had their own God-given land, where they resided. Hassuna in Iraq was our family’s village (city, hometown). Generally, Chinese people with the surname of Jew are descendants of the Chou Dynasty (carrying the “Jo” surname) whose surnames were Romanized as such to honor our family’s Hebrew heritage in America. In 2086 BC or around that time period there lived a man, a descendant of Jobab, named Ju in China. His name meant to eat greens instead of eating meat, because in days of old God had commanded it. The Chou clan, being the family in mainland China that brought and held the worship of God in China, throughout history has memorialized Ju. And so upon our arrival to the United States of America, some family members were called Ju, after one of our founding ancestors. With Noah’s words of blessings,“Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem” God has given a prophecy to mankind. Shem is one of Noah’s three sons. Yahweh is the God of Shem and the Lord Jesus Christ is a direct descendant of Shem. (Lk. 3:23-38) We know that Shem had five sons named Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram. (Gen. 10:22) Jesus’ ancestry came from Arphaxad. The genealogy of Shem is traced to Abraham. (Gen. 11:10-32) In Genesis 12 God made a covenant with Abraham.
“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Gen. 12:2-3)
The blessings that God bestowed to Abraham have been fulfilled in the nation of Israel and the Messiah Jesus. Indeed “all the families of the earth”are truly blessed by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is also the God of Shem.
There is much information in the Bible concerning the descendants of Arphaxad but little is written about the other four sons of Shem. The line of descendants of Joktan continued in their migration towards the east after the flood (Gen.10:30-32) There is evidence in anthropology that some of the descendants of Shem gradually settled down in Asia particularly China. Some Chinese family names are traced to Shem. Many scholars believe that Isaiah 49:11-12 refer to China. The Chinese, who are believed to be descendants of Noah’s son Shem, called themselves the Sine people. The Chinese word was Chin. The three criteria of Isaiah 49:11,12 are that the country must be east or south of Jerusalem; must be far from Jerusalem; and must be an important country to mention. China meets all these criteria.
The earliest civilization in China showed their belief in the One True God, the Creator of the Universe. They were worshiping the God of Shem. The first prehistoric dynasty is said to be Xia ()from about the twenty-first to the sixteenth century B.C. The beginning of this period corresponds with the time that God called Abraham and made a covenant with him. This is also the same period when China first developed its own form of writing.
I confess that my knowledge of Chinese writing is very small and limited, but I do know enough of it to share with you what I have learned through research on its co-relationship with the belief in the One True God. Whereas the Abraham line of the Semitic race has developed the Hebrew written language based on sounds, the Chinese written language is based on pictures, symbols and signs. God gave the Hebrew people the Torah and He has given the Chinese picture words as a way of revealing His truths to them. Let me show you a few of these words.
The first Chinese word I would like to illustrate is “create”.

A combination of these four symbols or picture words gives us the description of how God created man.
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (Gen. 2:7)
The next Chinese word we study is “righteousness”
yi – righteousness
This word has two words one above the other.
means sheep or lamb (at the top)
means I or me (at the bottom)
The Biblical meaning of “righteousness” refers to that only which God can impart on sinful man when He takes away his sin through the shedding of blood. Abel’s sacrifice of an unblemished lamb was acceptable to God. (Gen. 4:4) Abraham’s sacrifice of a ram in the place of Isaac is also acceptable to God. (Gen. 22:7-18) The Chinese people have understood this truth at the very beginning of its civilization when they composed the word for righteousness by placing the word for lamb above the word for “I” or “me”. The Chinese word for righteousness consists of the word at the top for “lamb” or sheep which, of course, refers to our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. (Jn. 1:29)We can only receive God’s righteousness when we have the “Lamb of God” over us.
Now let us look at the Chinese word that means I or me which is composed of two words.
means hand, and means spear
The Chinese word for righteousness has the word for “Lamb” over the word “me”. The Lamb of God has become my substitute in death. It is also a prophecy of our Lord’s atonement for sin on the cross at Calvary.
“But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.” (Jn. 19:34)
This miracle combined the two events of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His baptism on the Jordan River. This is the reason why our Lord said to John the Baptist at His baptism, “Permit it to be so now, for it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” (Mt. 3:15) The apostle Paul wrote: “Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, . . .(Rom. 6:3-4)
The next Chinese word that we shall consider is “ship” .

When you have a pictogram of eight people in a boat what do you think this Chinese word refers to? Noah’s Ark, of course. Just read what the Bible says.
“On the very same day Noah and Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the Ark.”(Gen. 7:13)
“. . . who formerly were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the Ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls were saved through water.”(1 Pet. 3:20)
How did the Chinese people know that eight people were saved in the Ark during the Great Flood? It is easy! Shem is the ancestor of the Chinese people. When Shem’s descendants migrated to China they also brought with them stories of the Great Flood. In fact many other countries also have stories of the Great Flood. When the Chinese formulated their written language they just composed the word “ship” by using the three symbols of a floating vessel, eight and people. This is also their way of preserving truth and history.
Our next Chinese word is “tower” .

“Now the whole earth had one language and one speech . . . And they said, ‘Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over face of the earth.” (Gen. 2:1-4)
Our next Chinese word is “come” .

This word has a cross (green) in the middle. Two persons (red) were hanging on both sides of the cross, and One Big Man (red) was hanging at the bottom of the cross.
The Chinese word is God’s invitation for all peoples of the world to come to Him for salvation. The two criminals who hung on either side of the Lord Jesus Christ represent mankind who is filled with sin and in need of salvation. One believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, repented of his sins, was saved and promised a place in Paradise. The other criminal did not. The Big Man at the bottom of the cross represents the Lord Jesus Christ who bore the sins of mankind on His body.
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Cor. 5:21)
“Come, now, and let us reason together,’ says the LORD, Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be while as snow; Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isa. 1:18)
The last Chinese word that we shall consider is “blessing” .

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” (Psm. 33:12)
Although the One True God had revealed His truths to the Chinese people through their writings for thousands of years yet they have rejected Him and worshiped other gods. Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism have been the major religions in China. But Confucianism had the greatest impact on the Chinese society. It was the State religion of China from 100 B.C. to 1,900 A.D. Buddhism was first introduced to China about 65 CE. With the downfall of the Han Dynasty in 220 CE and the troubled chaotic period that followed, Buddhism was able to spread to different regions of China. By the late 4th century, 90 percent of the people in the northwest region of China (closest to central Asia and the Silk Road) were Buddhists. In 1949, the Chinese communists gained control of China. The Government officially condemned religions. As a result, most followers of religions lived outside mainland China. In 1970’s, however, the Communist Government relaxed its policy against religion and so, religion enjoyed a revival on the mainland.
In 1949 the estimate of the number of Christians in China was put at one million. “The growth of the church in China has no parallels in history.” Researchers estimated 30-75 million Christians in 1990 as likely. The State Statistical Bureau in China confidently estimated 63 million protestants and 12 million Catholics in 1992. Compare this to the estimated 1,812,000 Protestants and 3,300,000 Catholics in 1949. Most of the growth is in the unofficial house fellowship networks, and through the work of itinerant preachers and numerous local revival movements. The number of Christians in China has grown to an estimated total of between 100 million to 200 million. It is possible that in China currently thousands of new converts each day believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the God of Shem.
Our God is righteous and fair in all His dealings with mankind that consists of many nations with different languages. This is only one of the ways that He reveals His truth to one ethnic race of people. God wants to give every person on earth an equal opportunity to know Him.
“Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.”(Acts 10:34-35)
“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”(1 Tim. 2:3-4)
“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”(Gal. 3:26-29)

China is mentioned in the ancient Hebrew scriptures, an ancient prophecy from Isaiah 49 v12 (about 700BC): Surely these shall come from afar; Look! Those from the north and the west, and these from the land of Sinim. (Sinim=Qin which is referring to the Ancient China)
In context, this prophecy appears to refer to the return of exiled Israel from the nations of the world. The ‘north’ probably refers chiefly to Russian Jews and the ‘west’ to American and European Jews. But while ‘north’ and ‘west’ are general terms, ‘Sinim’ is a specific term, thought by many scholars to be China. The ‘Strongest Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible’ explains Sinim as ‘Chinese!’. In fact the nouns ‘Sinology’ or ‘Sinologist’ use the same root word ‘Sin’ pronouns as QIN meaning China. Isaiah thus prophesied that one day Israel’s exiles would return from China back to their own land. Other Christians have interpreted the above scripture to imply ‘Christians’ rather than ‘Jews’ meaning that many Chinese would come to believe in God. Maybe both interpretations are correct. However, regardless of how you interpret Isaiah’s prophecy, one important fact is that China (Sinim) is mentioned in the Bible!
It appears that the Chinese believed in YHWH the Almighty (ShangDi) without an organized religion for more than four thousand years.
From the writings of Confucius(551-479) and Moz (408-382 BC), we discover that the ancient Chinese were originally monotheists who worshiped a Creator-G-d whom they called ‘Tian =The Most High but English translated it as Heaven’ or ‘ShangDi’. In fact, an eastern Han (202 BC-8AD) scholar also confirms ‘ShangDi’ as an alternative name for ‘ Tian=The Most High; however, the English translation for it is Heaven’ as follows:
‘ShangDi is another name for Heaven’ The scholar Zheng Xuan The ancient Chinese, unlike their modern counterparts, did not believe in the theory of Evolution, which is a Western atheistic philosophy. How sad that today’s Chinese have accepted a Western philosophy in place of their own indigenous religion!! Now that we know that the original G_d of China was called ‘Tian (Heaven)’ or ‘ShangDi’, and how did the ancient Chinese people, including Confucius, worship Him. The following quotes from the writings of Confucius have left behind a clear record of ancient China’s original religious beliefs:
‘Emperor Sun sacrificed to ShangDi (2255 BC)’. The Book of History
‘The Border Sacrifice ceremony is how men serve ShangDi’ . The Doctrine of the Mean Sz Ma Qian, an official during the western Han dynasty (222 BC-8AD), affirms Confucius’s quotes and gives us additional information about the worship of THE ALMIGHTY (G-d) in ancient China:
‘Erect an altar of earth on Mt. Tai and offer a burnt offering to ShangDi or Tian (Heaven)’. Sz Ma Qian, The Book of Historical Documents:
‘There has never been any Emperor of China who has not performed the sacrifices
to Heaven’. Sz Ma Qian,The Book of Historical Documents
From the above quotes we can deduce that the Aloahiym of ancient China was worshiped in a ceremony involving animal sacrifices, with the chief participant being the Emperor. This ceremony, also known as the ‘Border Sacrifice’, was performed annually on the top of Mt. Tai in Shandong province, on the eastern border of China. Therefore, it should not be surprising to find that Confucius was a believer in Tian (Heaven)= (ShangDi), as he lived in Shandong province not too far from Mt. Tai. Even HuangDi (the Yellow Emperor), from the so-called ‘Legendary Period’, is reported to have sacrificed to Heaven (ShangDi).
In the 15th century AD the ‘Border Sacrifice’ site was moved to the Altar of Heaven in Beijing and continued there until 1911 AD when the last Emperor of China was deposed. Thus in China we have a religious belief system and sacrificial ceremony of more than 4000 years continuous observance! Worship of Tian (Heaven)=ShangDi at the Altar of Tian (Heaven) in Beijing
The Altar of Heaven complex, which is today an important tourist site, comprises 3 main edifices. The northern most structure, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, has on its north wall, a tablet inscribed with the following characters:
‘Heavenly Sovereign ShangDi’ These characters clearly indicate that ShangDi (Heaven) was the Almighty worshiped at the ‘Border Sacrifice’. This sacrifice took place every year at the winter solstice (December 22) and by reviewing some of the prayers and songs used in the ceremony it becomes obvious how the Chinese revered their Supreme Almighty: “When Di (ShangDi), the Sovereign, had so decreed, He called into existence heaven, Earth, and man. The Statutes of the Ming Dynasty”
If we compare this with the Hebrew text of the Bible it becomes clear that the Creator-Almighty of the Chinese and Hebrews is one and the same:
By the word of YHWH the heavens were made… For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. Psalm 33v6,9—The Bible. Heaven (ShangDi) simply spoke everything into being by His commands. In addition, the religious ceremony of the ancient Chinese appears to be identical to that of the Hebrews as recorded in the Bible: Then Almighty (Yahuwah) said to Moses… ‘An altar of earth you shall make for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings. The Bible, Exodus 20v24—Moses Remember, as mentioned above, the Chinese Emperors also offered their sacrifices and burnt offerings on an altar of earth at Mt. Tai. Truly the Creator Almighty of ancient China is the one true Aloahiym as mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. This is confirmed by further Chinese prayers and songs used at the ‘Border Sacrifice’:” All the numerous tribes of animated beings are indebted to Thy favour for their beginnings. Men and things are all emparadised in Thy love, O Di(ShangDi). All living things are indebted to your goodness, but who knows from whom his blessings come to him? You alone, O The Sovereign One, are the true parent of all things. The Statutes of the Ming Dynasty.” From the above quote we learn that the ancient Chinese believed that their Aloahiym was The Almighty ( G-d) of love, as we learned previously from the philosopher Mozi quoted above. One final recitation from the ‘Border Sacrifice’ is of note: “Of old in the beginning, there was the great chaos without form and dark. The five elements had not begun to revolve, nor the sun and moon to shine. You, O Spiritual Sovereign, first divided the grosser parts from the purer. You made heaven. You made earth. You made man. All things with their reproducing power got their being. The Statutes of the Ming Dynasty” The above quote can be compared with the Biblical record:
In the beginning Aloahiym created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without
form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Aloahiym was hovering over the face of the waters. Then Aloahiym, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.’ …and Aloahyim divided the light from the darkness…Then Aloahyim made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night…Then Aloahiym said let Us make man in Our image… Then Alaohiym baruk them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply’… Genesis chapter 1, The Bible
In conclusion, the original religion of China is similar to that of the Hebrew people as recorded in the Bible. From ancient times right up until 1911 AD it had been the Emperor of China’s responsibility to obey the ‘Mandate of Heaven’ i.e.YHWH Aloahiym’s will. This included the ‘Border Sacrifice’.
China is the oldest, continuous civilization on the earth. Ancient records date back to about 2500 B.C. and coincides with the Biblical timeline, which shows that the great flood took place around 2344 B.C. Source: Bible Study – Flood
Ancient Chinese myth has their first king, Fu-hi or Fohi (Chinese Noah) making his appearance on the Mountain of Chin surrounded by a rainbow after the world had been covered with water. Myth says this Chinese Noah also sacrificed animals to the Almighty Aloahiym.
The Miao tribe of Southwest China has a similar myth. According to the Miao, the Supreme Almighty destroyed the world by flood because of the wickedness of man. The myth also says Nuah (Noah) had three sons: Lo Han (Ham), Lo Shen (Shem), and Jah-hu (Japheth). Source: Silvia Videler

ShangDi is the Supreme Almighty of the ancient Chinese. He was worshiped as the Creator Aloahiym for thousands of years. ShangDi was known as the Heavenly Ruler and the Chinese emperors were known as the Sons of Tian (Heaven). No other Mighty One was higher or more powerful.
Evidence says that the ancient Chinese understood the nature of Aloahiym as the ancient Hebrews did after Abraham (1812 B.C. to 1637 B.C.), who is considered the father of the Jews (about 3,000 years old), Christians (about 2,000 years old) and Muslims (about 1,400 years old).
While the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans worshiped many gods, the Chinese worshiped one Almighty Aloahiym above all others, ShangDi. If true, that would mean the Chinese might have believed in the Almighty Aloahiym longer than the Jews in Judahiam, Christians or Muslims.
In fact, it appears that the Chinese believed in YHWH the Almighty (ShangDi) without an organized religion for more than four thousand years.

Mystery concerns the 450-year-old Temple of Heaven complex in Beijing, China. Why did the emperors sacrifice a bull on the great white marble Altar of Heaven at an annual ceremony, the year’s most important and colourful celebration, the so-called ‘Border Sacrifice’? This rite ended in 1911 when the last emperor was deposed. However, the sacrifice did not begin a mere 450 years ago. The ceremony goes back 4,000 years. One of the earliest accounts of the Border Sacrifice is found in the Shu Jing (Book of History), compiled by Confucius, where it is recorded of Emperor Shun (who ruled from about 2256 BC to 2205 BC when the first recorded dynasty began) that ‘he sacrificed to ShangDi.’ 1
Who is ShangDi? This name literally means ‘the Heavenly Ruler.’ By reviewing recitations used at the Border Sacrifice, recorded in the Statutes of the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368), one may begin to understand the ancient Chinese reverence for ShangDi. Participating in this rite, the emperor first meditated at the Temple of Heaven (the Imperial Vault), while costumed singers, accompanied by musicians, intoned:
‘To Thee, O mysteriously-working Maker, I look up in thought. … With the great ceremonies I reverently honor Thee. Thy servant, I am but a reed or willow; my heart is but that of an ant; yet have I received Thy favouring decree, appointing me to the government of the empire. I deeply cherish a sense of my ignorance and blindness, and am afraid, lest I prove unworthy of Thy great favours. Therefore will I observe all the rules and statutes, striving, insignificant as I am, to discharge my loyal duty. Far distant here, I look up to Thy heavenly palace. Come in Thy precious chariot to the altar. Thy servant, I bow my head to the earth reverently, expecting Thine abundant grace. … O that Thou wouldest vouchsafe to accept our offerings, and regard us, while thus we worship Thee, whose goodness is inexhaustible!’2
Thus we find the emperor worshipping ShangDi. Can we possible trace the original intention of this magnificent ceremony of antiquity? As the emperor took part in this annual service dedicated to ShangDi, the following words were recited, clearly showing that he considered ShangDi the Creator of the world:
‘Of old in the beginning, there was the great chaos, without form and dark. The five elements [planets] had not begun to revolve, nor the sun and moon to shine. You, O Spiritual Sovereign, first divided the grosser parts from the purer. You made heaven. You made earth. You made man. All things with their reproducing power got their being’ 3
For the Christian, the above recitation sounds strangely familiar. How closely it reads to the opening chapter of the biblical Genesis! Note the similarity with excerpts from the more detailed story as recorded in the Hebrew writings:
‘In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. …
‘And God said, “Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called He Seas. …
‘And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: He made the stars also. …
ShangDi, the Creator-God of the Chinese, surely appears to be one and the same as the Creator-God of the Hebrews. In fact, one of the Hebrew names for God is El Shaddai, which is phonetically similar to ShangDi. Even more similar is the Early Zhou pronunciation of ShangDi which is ‘djanh-tigh’ [Zhan-dai].4 Another name for their God which the ancient Chinese used interchangeable with ShangDi was Heaven (Tian). Zheng Xuan, a scholar of the early Han dynasty said, “ShangDi is another name for Heaven (Tian)”.5 The great philosopher Motze (408-382 BC) also thought of Heaven (Tian) as the Creator-God:
‘I know Heaven loves men dearly not without reason.Heaven ordered the sun, the moon, and the stars to enlighten and guide them. Heaven ordained the four seasons, Spring, Autumn, Winter, and Summer, to regulate them. Heaven sent down snow, frost, rain, and dew to grow the five grains and flax and silk so that the people could use and enjoy them. Heaven established the hills and river, ravines and valleys, and arranged many things to minister to man’s good or bring him evil.’ 6
How did ShangDi create all things? Here is one further recitation from the ancient Border Sacrifice rite:
‘When Te [ShangDi], the Lord, had so decreed, He called into existence [originated] heaven, earth, and man. Between heaven and earth He separately placed in order men and things, all overspread by the heavens.’ 7
Note that ShangDi ‘called into existence,’ or commanded heaven and earth to appear.
Compare this with the way the Hebrew text describes the method of creation by El Shaddai, who, we suspect, is identical with ShangDi, and the similarity in name and role would suggest:
‘… by the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. … For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast’ (Psalm 33:6, 9).
We have not yet explained the reason for the emperors’ bull sacrifice to ShangDi. Let us compare this Chinese sacrifice with the instruction given by God to the Hebrews:
‘Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD’ (Leviticus 9:2)—a practice which began in earliest times (Genesis 4:3,4; 8:20).
The origin of the Border Sacrifice would appear to be explained in the book, God’s Promise to the Chinese.8 The authors, Nelson, Broadberry, and Chock have analyzed the most ancient forms of the pictographic Chinese writing and found the foundational truths of Christianity. In these ideograms, which date from before the time of Moses—we have the entire story of creation, the temptation, and fall of man into sin, and God’s remedy for sin in the animal sacrifices, which pointed to the coming Savior, Jesus Christ.All the elements of the Genesis narrative are found recorded, and still in use, in the Chinese character-writing.
ALL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, NOT JUST THE CHINESE, ARE DESCENDED FROM THE INHABITANTS OF BABEL.
The associated box shows some startling realities about the written Chinese language, indicating that we are all related—and not so long ago. All people in the world, not just the Chinese, are descended from the inhabitants of Babel, the first civilization after the Flood. God first gave His promise of a coming saviour, the ‘Seed of the Woman,’ in Genesis (3:15). The foreshadowed sacrifice of the coming Lamb of God, Creator and Saviour, is as old as mankind.
Should a Chinese person tell you that Christianity is a ‘foreigner’s religion,’ you can explain that the Chinese in antiquity worshipped the same God as Christians do today. Like the Hebrews often did, the ancestors of today’s Chinese wandered off after false gods; the memory of who their original God was dimmed with time.9 The ancient Chinese script gives powerful evidence for the historical truth of Genesis.
